A New Beginning

We recently moved house to an old Victorian semi-detached, built around 1890.

We must be daft taking on a house like this at our age (72!) but we wanted a place big enough to host the family when they return for their holidays. Hopefully we’ll get at least five good years here before our health forces us to downsize.

An added bonus though is that there’s enough space for my wife to have her own craft room and the attic room is an ideal studio space for me.

Above is my pen & watercolour painting of the house that I did for our change of address cards. It was done using my usual ‘go to’ supplies: Winsor & Newton paints and Uni Pin Fine Liners with some finishing touches using Tombow Pens.

I’ve also included a photo of my studio space below. I consider myself very lucky to have this.
