Roanheads was laid out by 1771 and is the oldest part of Peterhead. Some of the surviving houses may be original and many in the surrounding area are listed buildings of historical importance.

This is a nice scene of some of the Roanheads houses in Pen & Watercolour, based on my own photograph. The painted area is approx 11.5” x 7.0” on good quality hot pressed watercolour paper.
