Something Different for me but an enjoyable exercise.
Unfortunately the paper I used wasn’t so good. I wonder how many leisure painters are like me, I bought some really good quality Arches paper but never got around to using it as it looked so good and I didn’t want to spoil it with my work. Fast forward 15 years (yes, 15 years !!!!) and I’m thinking that maybe it’s time to dust it off, only to find that the surface has deteriorated and doesn’t take the paint as it should.
This is the result – my photo probably doesn’t show the full extent of the problem but suffice it to say that I won’t be using what’s left of this paper except perhaps for testing colour mixes.
And I won’t be making the same mistake in future.
