Can’t believe that it’s been three months since my last post, but I’ve been keeping busy during the lockdown, doing some commission work, enjoying the short Aberdeen summer and looking for painting inspiration.
Looking back through my work of the past few years it’s clear that ships and buildings have been a major inspiration for me.
My ships have led to a few commissions so I’ve been wondering whether there might be the same interest in building commissions, so I’ve added “House Portraits” to my Etsy shop.
It’s a simple pitch:- there’s no place like home, with memories of family and friends, milestones and moments, so perhaps a bespoke house portrait could be a perfect way to remember a childhood home, celebrate a new home or make a special and unique housewarming gift.
I’m offering these portraits in a choice of styles: “traditional” or “urban” as illustrated in the attached photos.
I’m not expecting to be overwhelmed by the response but it’s out there now and if anyone’s interested you’ll get more info at https://GordonMclemanArt.etsy.com
