My latest work in progress. A beautiful Victorian-era house portrait commission.

The customer wants two portraits done, summer & winter from different angles.

That’s the summer pen drawing done, now to stretch the paper and fix it to a board ready for the watercolour.

I’m reasonably comfortable painting the house, but the colourful garden might be a bit more of a challenge. There’s Wisteria, Azalea, Rhododendron, Laburnum and many others.

I may have to use “artistic licence” to show them all in full bloom at the same time 🙂
