Langley Road, Chippenham, England

This is my interpretation of a scene from Langley Road, Chippenham, inspired by a photo by Pamela Crews Elliott, which was freely shared in the Facebook Group ‘Landscape Reference Photos for Artists’ for artists to use as inspiration.

I believe the building on the right was once The Oxford Hotel, a Grade II listed building that has since been converted into flats and cottages.

I painted this scene because I loved the composition. I hope someone else enjoys it as much as I do.

The painting measures about 12.5” x 6.5” on cold-pressed 300gsm watercolour paper. I used Derwent fine liner pens and Winsor & Newton professional-grade watercolours. The painting is on a larger sheet of watercolour paper with a white border.

If interested, it’s available for sale in my Etsy shop (sales to the United States will be ‘Delivered Duty Paid’).
