Some More Art Group Examples

First up, there’s a lovely view of ‘Lower Bonnyside’ cottage in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, Scotland. You can see it from an adjacent barley field, with the beautiful rolling Aberdeenshire countryside and Bennachie in the background. I used to take our dog for walks through this spot every day before we moved.

The second piece is from a Group Challenge to paint a Peterhead scene from around 25 years ago. It shows the Crosse & Blackwell factory around 1998, just before Nestlé closed it! I went to school in Peterhead in the late 1960s, and the Crosse & Blackwell factory was a big part of the town back then. You could tell what they were making just by the smell wafting up from the factory, especially during the Branston Pickle days!

If you’re not already part of an art group, I’d suggest giving it a try. I’ve found that they’re a friendly bunch with similar interests, and you’ll have a great time while learning something new.

You can check out my Etsy shop, https://GordonMclemanArt.etsy.com, to see all the original watercolours and prints I’m selling right now (orders to the United States will be delivered duty paid).

If you’d like to pick up your purchase directly from me in Peterhead, Scotland, please email me at sales@gm-art.online with the details of your order instead of using the Etsy checkout. That way, you’ll get a 20% discount on my Etsy prices. You can pay by cash, PayPal or bank transfer when you collect.
